Kaitlyn Hathorn

FFI Grants and Contracts Coordinator

Kaitlyn Hathorn is a social work professional with experience in data, program delivery, and grant-supported initiatives. Her work focuses on strengthening programs that expand access to resources, build skills, and improve outcomes for individuals and communities.

Prior to joining the Food Finance Institute, Kaitlyn worked in youth-serving organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, where she supported programming focused on social-emotional development, workforce readiness, and life skills. In this role, she worked directly with youth to build skills in emotional regulation, goal setting, and career readiness, while also supporting program operations, tracking outcomes, and contributing to reporting and evaluation efforts tied to grant funding.

Kaitlyn brings experience supporting data collection, program evaluation, and grant writing, helping organizations align program delivery with measurable outcomes. Her background in social work informs her approach to coordinating grants and contracts, ensuring compliance, supporting reporting processes, and helping teams effectively manage funded initiatives.

At the Food Finance Institute, Kaitlyn supports grant and contract management processes that enable the delivery of training, technical assistance, and resources to food and farm businesses. Her work contributes to the operational infrastructure that supports FFI’s programs and partnerships.

Outside of her professional work, Kaitlyn enjoys playing piano, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
