FFI and NAFSN Partner to Nurture Food & Farm Business Growth

The Food Finance Institute (FFI) is excited to announce a new partnership with the North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN), a professional association that shares our vision of a stronger, more resilient food and farm economy. NAFSN is dedicated to strengthening local and regional food systems by connecting professionals to opportunities and resources that advance equity and healthy food access for all.

NAFSN works at the forefront of the food systems profession itself, providing networking opportunities, resources, career guidance, leadership opportunities, training, webinars, podcasts, and a curated jobs board for people at all levels of this critical-change work.

Our collaboration promises to enhance the capabilities of food and farm systems professionals and entrepreneurs through mutual promotion of networking events and discounted access to valuable training and resources. NAFSN members will gain direct access to essential financial training and guidance from FFI’s experts. In turn, FFI’s network will connect with a broader audience of dedicated food system professionals, extending its reach and impact within the food and farm industry.

This partnership comes at a crucial time for the food and agricultural sector.

This partnership comes at a crucial time for the food and agricultural sector. As Kim Hines, Co-Director of NAFSN, notes, “At NAFSN, we are hearing from food systems professionals, including consultants, a growing intention to increase business savvy and finance know-how for the benefit of their food and ag communities. This new partnership with FFI fits that call to action.”

FFI Director Sarah Larson adds, “FFI’s mission is to help food and farm businesses thrive at every stage through finance-forward training, coaching, and consulting. Core to that is upskilling and supporting boots-on-the ground professionals to best serve the food-focused businesses in their communities. We are thrilled to deepen our collaboration with the NAFSN network of food systems professionals!”

Together, we’re growing a more robust ecosystem and cultivating greater success across the food and agricultural business landscape.
