Wisconsin FFI FaBcap Accelerator

FFI FaBcap Accelerator has transitioned into the Fellows Program which will expand to serve food brands, value-added farms, and processing entities. Check out the FFI Fellows Program here!

Wisconsin FFI FaBcap Accelerator was a nine-month business and finance accelerator, designed to build the capacity and capitalization of Wisconsin growing food and beverage companies, positioning them for sustainable success.

The FaBcap Accelerator and Scaler Series were developed by FaB Wisconsin. In 2020 these two programs transitioned from FaB Wisconsin to FFIRead about the transition here!

What was the FFI FaBcap Accelerator?

Each year, ten emerging Wisconsin-based food, beverage, ingredient, packaging, equipment manufacturers, or technology companies, with demonstrated sales and ambitions to grow their business, were selected to be part of the FFI FaBcap accelerator program. In the program, these ten companies, or “Cappers,” developed their capacity and capability for investment through personalized industry coaching and eight facilitated cohort meetings that touched on a variety of topics. Cappers also received a formal introduction at our September FFI FaBcap Accelerator Kick-off Event, presented their business to investors at the June FFI commencement event, and received a $10,000 check made possible by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). Hear From Past Cappers

If you knew me before this, you would have said, ‘This guy will never get involved in something like this.’ It’s true! But for some reason I did and it has been the best decision I have made so far for Clean Beam!

Owner of Clean Beam, FaBcap 2 Graduate
Being part of the Accelerator is like having a large company invest in you without you having to give them equity. The Accelerator gives you time and resources. They will introduce you to people that want to help you succeed. Whether you need help with co-packing, accounting, packaging materials, or marketing, they will introduce you to veteran companies that would be difficult to reach out to on your own. They have a huge network of companies and people that want to work with you because they believe in you.
Sascha Dhanjal
Owner of Saffi Foods, FaBcap 3 Graduate
I encourage my fellow entrepreneurs to tap the cap. While I came from the industry, getting Top Note Tonics off the ground was hard work. To have had the FaBcap program series available to us earlier would have put us on a more productive path sooner.
Mary Pellettieri
Owner of Top Note Tonics, FaBcap 1 Graduate

The accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
